NA Chief of Staff Meets with the Representatives of KOICA
1 / 1

On October 31 the Chief of Staff of the National Assembly Gurgen Dumanyan received the representatives of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Isahak Kim and Owen Lee, who were in the National Assembly for presenting a report to the Agency on the wrap-up and results of the technical upgrading of the NA Session Hall. The Head of Secretariat Tatul Soghomonyan and the Head of the Foreign Relations Valeri Mkrtumyan were attending the meeting.

In the name of the National Assembly and personally the NA President Hovik Abrahamyan Gurgen Dumanyan thanked the Korea International Cooperation Agency for the implemented important programme and assured that the support of KOICA to the National Assembly had been purposeful, and it had provided the efficiency and transparency of the work of the legislative body.

By the assessment of the Head of Secretariat Tatul Soghomonyan, the importance of the programme is conditioned not only by the purposeful technical support, which has provided the work of the legislative body, but also by the establishment and reinforcement of friendly relations of the two peoples.

The Korean guests have informed the attendees that among the similar programmes implemented in other countries this one is the most successful one, which is also conditioned by the fact of being implemented by the leadership of the National Assembly. According to their assessment, as the world changes very fast and proposes new technical requirements, the KOICA is ready to continue the cooperation with the RA National Assembly and implement a new joint programme.

The NA Chief of Staff also expressed willingness of deepening the cooperation with KOICA and making the programme continuous and assured that soon the new project would be ready with relevant recommendations.
